PFA - online
Being updated. The page works, but we are still revising it. Treat the figures and deadlines as rough guidance and confirm them with an accountant or the official sources.
You set up the PFA yourself, online, through the ONRC portal. It's the cheapest option (you only pay the reduced ONRC fees, no share capital), but you need a qualified digital signature to sign and file the digital case.
ONRC has online services for "Starting a business", "Company name reservation" and "Company registration". Documents can be filled in and filed online, with no trip to the counter.
Step by step
Account on the ONRC portal. Create an account on the ONRC portal and open the "Starting a business" area.
Reserve the name. Use the name reservation service for your PFA name.
Fill in the forms. The PFA registration request, the tax registration annex and the declaration on own responsibility regarding operating conditions. Pick the CAEN codes (see CAEN codes, max 5).
Attach the documents. Copy of your ID, proof of the professional address (ownership, rental or comodat) and, where applicable, proof of professional training/experience. The fiscal record is obtained by ONRC directly from ANAF.
Sign and file. Documents are signed with a qualified digital signature and filed online. The request is processed, in principle, within 1 working day.
Save the details. After approval, keep the CUI and the rest of your details in My Own Company Details.
Without a digital signature you can't file online. In that case, go to the counter in person or use a service/accountant.
